Rihanna brought down the house on Monday night after she arrived fashionably late at the 2025 Met Gala, ending hours of speculation about whether she would show up amid news of her pregnancy.

When Rihanna arrived, the official account on X, formerly Twitter, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art gushed and referenced the singer’s hit song, “Where Have You Been?”

Spotify’s official account on X posted: “baby bump is @rihanna’s best accessory,” along with a green heart emoji.

Rihanna’s longtime partner and this year’s Met Gala co-chair, rapper A$AP Rocky, confirmed over the weekend that the couple are expecting their third child.

“It feels amazing, you know,” A$AP Rocky told reporters on Monday. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”

Shortly after Rihanna arrived on the red carpet, someone in attendance—likely a reporter—jokingly asked if she brought her “umbrella-ella-ella,” referencing the singer’s 2007 song, “Umbrella.”

Rihanna burst into laughter and said, “Rocky brought that! I brought the kid!”
