49ers All-Pro Ejected After Punching Chiefs Player

The highly-anticipated match up between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs proved to be one-sided, with the Chiefs winning 28-18.

Unfortunately, the game was defined by players leaving the game early, including wide receiver Deebo Samuels (illness), Juju Smith-Schuster (injury), and Brandon Aiyuk (injury).

However, another player wound up leaving early despite not having any health ailments.

Toward the end of the game, 49ers All-Pro offensive tackle Trent Williams was ejected after he punched Kansas City safety Bryan Cook.

It’s worth noting that Cook appears to have started the fight first but was not ejected.

As he was exiting Levi Stadium, Williams stopped to sign autographs.

Unfortunately, this marks the fourth game in a row San Francisco has lost to the Chiefs, with the previous two being Super Bowl LIV and Super Bowl LVIII.

This isn’t the first time Williams has been ejected from a game. In the 2023 NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Williams was ejected slamming safety K’Von Wallace, who was also ejected.

Williams is largely considered one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL, if not all-time.

Williams attended the University of Oklahoma from 2006-2009, becoming the starting right tackle in his freshman year.

In his time with the Oklahoma Sooners, Williams was a two-time first-team All-Big 12 (2008, 2009) and a consensus All-American in 2009.

Williams was selected in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders with the fourth overall pick in the first round.

In his first season, Williams started 13 of 14 games and would continue to start every game for the rest of his NFL career.

Williams was voted offensive co-captain in his sophomore season. Unfortunately, he would miss four games alongside teammate Fred Davis due to being suspended after failing drug tests.

Unfortunately, Williams would miss the 2019 NFL season after receiving surgery to remove a growth that turned out to be cancerous. He soon requested to be traded to another team due to how Washington’s medical staff handled the situation.

In March 2020, Williams was granted permission to seek a trade, and eventually wound up on the 49ers.

In his 14 year career, Williams was named to the Pro Bowl 11 times and was named a second-team All-Pro in 2015. He has been a first-team All-Pro from 2021-2023.

In 2022, Williams was named to the Washington Commanders 90 Greatest list.
