San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has officially requested a trade from the team after both parties have failed to agree on a contract extension. Though the 49ers presumably attempted to find common ground with Aiyuk multiple times, the star receiver is instead going to test the market.

Aiyuk had met with the 49ers organization and revealed that talks had “gone well” but there had been no movement on the matter since those talks occurred. It appears that common ground cannot be found, and Aiyuk will instead seek a contract from another team.
