Lil Nas X Hits Back at Azealia Banks After ‘Fell off So Hard’ Comments
Lil Nas X has hit back after Azealia Banks claimed he “fell off so hard” in a swipe on social media.
Rapper and singer-songwriter Banks had taken aim at the star on X, formerly Twitter, posting: “Lil Nas X really fell off so hard. Lmfao that little c****** swore she was the tea. B**** has NO BARS. Hahahahaahahahaa.”
But the “Old Town Road” star snapped back, insisting in a post that now seems to have been deleted that Banks wouldn’t ever be as successful as him.
“Azealia I could never make a hit song again and you would still never in ur bussy soap selling chicken sacrificing botched body hating a** miserable life reach a 10th of my success,” he wrote on the platform. “Love ur music btw.”
Newsweek has emailed representatives for Azealia Banks and Lil Nas X for comment.
Fans also weighed in, calling Banks out on her comment. “Always talking about everyone but never looking in the mirror,” said one person on X. “And when was your last hit record?” sniped another.
But the “Luxury” singer didn’t hold back, and unleashed more insults aimed at Lil Nas X.
“U have no success n****,” she said in one post. “It’s giving buckbroke raceplay uncle Tom a** eater. Not u begging me to be on ur little trash a** song. U mad I declined. Booooooooooooo b****. Ur over.”
In another she wrote that Lil Nas X “almost didn’t have ONE hit if them c******* ain’t jump in and do charity work.”
She ranted: “U was out here with flies in the corner of your eyes eating a bowl of porridge with a swollen belly b****, saved you for 0.67cents a day head a** COME THE F*** AGAIN HO @LilNasX i will really smack fire out u b****. Sit down.”
After Lil Nas X’s post on X disappeared, another appeared on his Instagram Story. Striking a different tone to his initial comment, he said fans loved Banks and wished her well in her music, saying he wanted to see her “win and shine.”
“Sending u love Azealia,” wrote the star. “Wishing u nothing but guidance and clarity. I want u to chase ur dreams. Get on ur s***. It’s the best time period in music for ur art to thrive.”
“Idc what u f*** s*** u say about me,” he went on. “I wanna see u win and shine your light. U can drop this internet bully act at any time. Ur fans love u. We love u.” He added a string of hearts to his post.
