Commanders’ Jayden Daniels Surprisingly Leads Pro Bowl Quarterback Voting

Being named to the Pro Bowl is one of the highest honors a player can receive in the NFL, showing that they have simultaneously had an excellent season and connected with the fans.
This year, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce received the most votes with over 252,000 and was closely followed by Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs with just over 250,000.
However, the biggest surprise came at third place. With a little bit over 242,000 votes, Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders isn’t just the most popular rookie in the NFL, but the most popular quarterback overall.
Daniels was closely followed by Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, who were in fourth and fifth place respectively.

All three of these quarterbacks finished ahead of MVP favorites Josh Allen of the Buffalo and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, who are the fourth and fifth most popular quarterbacks.
The rest of the top 10 quarterbacks list is filled out by Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Sam Darnold of the Minnesota Vikings, and Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Given the popularity of players like Mahomes, Allen, and Jackson as well as the expectations put on rookie signal caller Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears, seeing Daniels as the most popular quarterback in the NFL is astounding.
Then again, anyone who watched the way Daniels play all season wouldn’t be surprised at all.

In his first season in the NFL, Daniels has completed 69.4 percent of his passes. On 325 completed passes, he recorded 3,530 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Daniels’ most memorable pass was when he defeated the Bears in a last-second Hail Mary throw to receiver Noah Brown.
Additionally, he rushed 144 times for 864 yards and six touchdowns. That’s more than Lamar Jackson, who has rushed 130 times for 852 yards and four touchdowns this season.
Needless to say, Daniels has more than proven himself as the clear frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors (sorry Brock Bowers and Bo Nix).
If Daniels continues to play at this elite level, there’s no doubt that the Commanders could be a heavy Super Bowl contender in the near future.
