Nintendo Switch 2’s Hardware Design May Have Been Revealed Early at CES
Nintendo may be close to officially revealing the Switch 2, but third-party manufacturers have already let the cat out of the bag. After Dbrand publicly spoke about the Switch 2’s dimensions, accessory maker Genki reportedly revealed a life-sized model of the handheld at CES.
A report from Netzwelt reveals that Genki showed off its upcoming accessories for the Switch 2 at its booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. While the products were initially shown behind closed doors, journalists have since started publicly posting images of the model.

Genki has also published a website titled “NS2 Accessories” showing mockup renders of the Switch 2’s Joy-Cons, a charging dock, and a case for the console. The mockup shows that the Switch 2 will be slightly bigger than the original handheld, along with a mysterious ‘C’ button beneath the right analog stick.
They also show that the Joy-Cons might have an optical sensor inside them. We also see a third-party model of the Switch 2’s dock. Genki’s product deck also shows a pro controller for the Switch 2, which looks eerily similar to the original peripheral.
To remain updated about the latest information about the new console, we recommend visiting our Nintendo Switch 2 knowledge hub, where we continuously add new details as they are revealed.
While Nintendo hasn’t revealed the Switch 2, CES 2025 saw many companies announce their entry into, or updates for, the handheld PC space. Lenovo announced the Legion Go S as the world’s first non-Valve handheld PC, while Acer revealed its ginormous Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 handhelds. Atari also announced its new Gamestation Go handheld console.
Nintendo will launch the Switch 2 console sometime in 2025.
