Noah Lyles Reignites Feud With Dolphins Star Tyreek Hill After Winning 60M
Olympian runner Noah Lyles has kicked off another chapter in his feud with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Lyles wasted no time calling out Hill after dominating the 60m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on Sunday, marking his first top-tier meet since the Paris Olympics.
After crossing the finish line with a win, the Olympic 100m champion pulled off his bib to reveal a message written inside: “Tyreek Could Never.”
Lyles didn’t hold back in an interview with NBC Sports, throwing some serious shade at the Miami Dolphins star.
“When you’re ready to actually put some words down and race, see me,” The track star said. “I’m right here. I ain’t going nowhere. Your football season’s over now, so you don’t have any excuses left.”
The two athletes have been trading barbs since the Paris Games, both suggesting a one-on-one race, but as of now, no official matchup has been scheduled. Hill, 30, made a return to track in 2023, competing in the 60m at the USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships.
Hill ran a respectable 6.70 seconds—his first track appearance in nearly a decade. Lyles, on the other hand, clocked a personal best of 6.43 seconds in the 60m at the 2024 USATF Indoor Championships, further solidifying his dominance.
Hill’s fastest 100m time of 10.19 seconds, set back in 2012, puts him outside the top 10 all-time fastest NFL players in the event. Meanwhile, Lyles has been redefining sprinting, winning Olympic gold in the 100m with a personal best of 9.79 seconds.
After his win in Boston, Lyles was clear about his mission. “I’m trying to transcend the sport,” he said. “My first job is to make sure everyone knows that even though I have the medal, I’m still going to go anywhere and win because I’m the world’s fastest man.”
Lyles is not just about the titles—he’s aiming to take the sport to new heights, and it seems like his race with Hill could be just the beginning.
On the other hand, Hill has had a tough time recently. Battling a wrist injury that even raised the possibility of surgery, Hill’s frustration with the Miami Dolphins grew as the team finished the season with a losing record.
At one point, he even considered leaving, but later met with both the team and his agent to discuss his future.
In 2024, Hill posted his lowest receiving yards since 2019, finishing with 959 yards. He also recorded six touchdowns, matching a career low. His 11.8 yards per reception was higher than only his rookie season and 2021.
Despite playing through the injury, Hill’s performance seemed to take a hit, and the Dolphins ended the season with an 8-9 record, their first losing season since 2019.
Being taunted by Lyles is probably the last thing Hill needs right now.
