“Thank you for the last 8 1/2 years!” Alexander said. “Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so till the good Lord says otherwise.”
Alexander then ended the post with “#SeeYouIn90,” referring to WWE’s 90 day non-compete clause.

Alexander immediately found support from his colleagues and the wrestling community.
In fact, former WWE rival and current TNA wrestler Mustafa Ali replied, saying, “In the dark I feel at home,” which are the lyrics to his original entrance theme.

Alexander began his professional wrestling career in 2010 as a part of Ring of Honor (ROH).
After three years in the tag team C&C Wrestle Factory with Caprice Coleman, Alexander began wrestling as a singles competitor, feuding with the likes of Moose, Roderick Strong, and many more.
In 2016, Alexander signed with WWE as part of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament and was soon announced as part of the Cruiserweight Division. He would quickly become a stable of the division, having memorable matches with Kota Ibushi, Mustafa Ali, Buddy Murphy, and Kalisto.

In 2019, Alexander debuted on Monday Night Raw, but wouldn’t find much success. That is, until he got involved with The Hurt Business, which was made up of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP.
At first, Alexander feuded against The Hurt Business with Ricochet and Apollo Crews, but he soon turned on his partners and joined their enemies. After a few years and some title success, the stable broke up.
Alexander is a one-time Cruiserweight Champion and one-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion alongside Benjamin.

Now, fans are wondering where exactly they’ll see Alexander next.
Given his association with Lashley, Benjamin, and MVP, it seems highly likely that he will join them in AEW. Then again, he could also stand out in TNA and New Japan.
No matter what, Alexander is more than talented enough to find success in another promotion.
