Pitbull Announces Shock Separation From Trackhouse Racing Ahead Of Daytona 500 Performance

Grammy award-winning rapper Pitbull has made the unexpected move of ending his partnership with Trackhouse Racing. Despite this change, he is still set to perform at the Daytona 500 concert this Sunday.

Pitbull’s journey in the racing world began in 2021 when he became an ownership partner with Trackhouse Racing for their debut in the Cup Series at the Daytona 500.

Trackhouse Racing was brought to life by Justin Marks, a former NASCAR driver, and it began its journey in 2021. Since then, it has grown from a single-car team to a more robust operation.

During this period, they have achieved eight Cup Series victories and placed second in the 2022 championship standings, primarily thanks to driver Ross Chastain’s efforts. Marks had nothing but praise for Pitbull’s involvement stating on social media:

“This is a great business story. Armando came in when we had no certainty of any material success and took a chance to help build a brand. Now that we’ve scaled up and have new parters, he’s been able to be rewarded for the impact he’s made. A great investment on both ends. Excited to see what he does next! DALE!”

Pitbull shared his thoughts on his time with NASCAR, stating:

“Ending partnership with Trackhouse Racing. Over the past five years, we’ve made history by introducing NASCAR to a whole new audience and falling in love with NASCAR fans at the same time.

“We have made the decision to terminate the partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately. We’re looking forward to performing on the sport’s biggest stage this Sunday, the Daytona 500. It is a true honor, Dale!”

Although Pitbull is parting ways with Trackhouse Racing, he remains involved with NASCAR. His performance at the Daytona 500 is highly anticipated. The event is steeped in excitement with actor Anthony Mackie acting as the grand marshal, ready to give the cue for drivers to start their engines.
