Becky Lynch Could Make WWE Return For WrestleMania
As WWE WrestleMania looms over the company, fans are eagerly awaiting Becky Lynch’s return to WWE television.
A year ago, at WrestleMania XL, Lynch challenged Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship. The match, which took place on Night 1, was a highly anticipated contest between two of WWE’s top female performers.
Ripley retained her Women’s World Championship. After the match, it was reported that Lynch was suffering from strep throat during the event, which shows her dedication to her profession and toughness in pushing through the illness.
Lynch has been off WWE television since May 2024 to work on Hollywood projects. In late 2024, Lynch reportedly signed a new deal with the promotion and recently demonstrated her support by attending WWE-related Netflix events.
In a recent interview on the Getting Over podcast, Lynch openly acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding her wrestling future. The top WWE star stated she doesn’t know how long she’ll compete.

“I don’t know the answers to these questions,” Lynch stated. “I genuinely don’t. I’m being so vague, and I don’t mean to be in any way cagey, but I feel like I have a great mind for wrestling, a great love for it, and so it’s always going to be there in my heart, and in my head, it’s part of my family. It’s the reason I have my family so it’s so important to me.”
“I just don’t know what that looks like in the future,” Lynch continued. “I genuinely don’t have any answers for you because I don’t know. I think life continues to surprise me in wonderful ways recently. You can make all these plans, but sometimes things don’t go the way you intended, but in the long run, something works out better than you expected. I feel like that’s been my whole run.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Lynch is signed and healthy and has been discussed for WrestleMania plans. Whether WWE is able to have Lynch back in time for WrestleMania 41 on April 19th and Sunday, April 20th, 2025, remains to be seen.
