The Gators, ranked No. 3 in the country, have been one of the best teams in college basketball this season. They enter Saturday’s matchup with a 24-4 overall record and an 11-4 record in SEC play. Florida is coming off a surprising setback, however, having most recently fallen 88-83 to Georgia, a shocking result and one of the biggest upsets of the season so far. In the defeat, guard Will Richard was still a standout for Florida, scoring 30 points and securing five rebounds. Walter Clayton Jr. also had a good performance in the loss, scoring 18 points while also contributing five rebounds and five assists.

Texas A&M, meanwhile, is 20-8 this season and 9-3 in conference play. The Aggies are in a serious rough patch, however, having lost their last three games in a row. Things won’t get any easier for Texas A&M on the road on Saturday night in front of what will be an excited crowd and against a very motivated Florida team.
Most recently, the Aggies fell 86-84 against Vanderbilt despite 23 points and six rebounds from forward Pharrel Payne. Star guard Wade Taylor IV had 21 points and six assists in the loss. Texas A&M is going to need more of that type of production if it is to have a chance against an elite Florida squad on Saturday night.
Tune in to SEC Network at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday to catch a top college basketball matchup when Texas A&M meets Florida on the hardwood.
