Lady Gaga Reveals ‘Vision’ About Becoming a Mom
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Lady Gaga has looked into her future and revealed that her “greatest vision” is to build a family of her own.
The 38-year-old pop sensation, who just released Mayhem, her seventh studio album, shared the news in an interview with Access Hollywood.
“I really want to be a mom,” Gaga said when asked what her next decade will look like. “The greatest vision I have is that.”

The “Abracadabra” singer got engaged last year to venture capitalist Michael Polansky, 41, who she’s known for several years and first got to know after her mother met him at a charity event and then introduced the two.
When the couple will have kids remains to be seen, and Gaga declined to share details on wedding planning. However, she conceded of her walking down the aisle: “I think that’s going to be the most special day of my whole life. It’ll be a real dream, I know that.”
Polansky was an executive producer on Gaga’s latest album and co-wrote some of the songs. “Making music with the one that you love is really special, and deeply intimate,” she told Access Hollywood.
The experience of collaborating brought the couple closer, and may have sparked heartfelt conversations about their shared vision for their future children.
Gaga told Elle in January that she and her fiancé have talked a lot about allowing their kids to be their own people. “It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world,” she said. “And they’re told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat…I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are.”
