Meryl Streep and Martin Short Enjoy Night Out Together

Meryl Streep and Martin Short may be denying the dating rumors, but their constant outings together sure have fans wondering.
The longtime friends and costars were spotted once in New York City over the weekend, this time attending multiple high-profile events on the same night.
On Saturday, March 8, the Only Murders in the Building stars arrived together at Saturday Night Live, as seen in a video posted by TMZ. Short, 74, who was seen chatting with security before the show, greeted fans outside the NBC studio while Streep, 75, interacted with the crowd.

But that’s not all –– earlier that same evening, the duo attended the Broadway hit Oh, Mary! The musical’s Instagram shared a photo of posing with the cast, as well as other celebs like Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein.
Fans seemingly ship the pair, as evidenced by the comments on the post,
“Meryl & Marty (I so love them together),” one fan said, while another declared, “Poof that Marty and Meryl are an item!!! 😍😍😍”
Another asked, “What’s it like being a key stop of the M&M slow launch?”
“Martin and Meryl are so darn adorable together ❤️,” stated a fourth.
This isn’t the first time Streep and Short have been seen together at public events. They were seen sitting together at the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert coincidentally on Valentine’s Day this year. Last fall, they were photographed arriving in the same car at an Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. They also shared a moment at the 2024 Golden Globes.
Despite the consistent outings, both Streep and Short have maintained that their relationship is purely platonic.
