Nuggets vs Lakers Injury Report: Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic Status Revealed
The Los Angeles Lakers will host the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday for this crucial Western Conference showdown.
This match will be the fourth and final installment between the Lakers and Nuggets for the 2024-25 season, at least in the regular season. No one would be surprised if these two teams played each other once again in the playoffs.
In the past two seasons, the Nuggets have been a thorn in the Lakers’ side, being eliminated by Denver in the playoffs. However, that was with a different Lakers team. L.A. is a vastly different team this time with the addition of superstar guard Luka Dončić.
Dončić joined the Lakers in a trade no one saw coming on Feb. 1. He is now the face of the franchise and is expected to lead the team for at least the next decade. While that is the case, for this matchup, he enters the game on the injury report.
Not only is Dončić on his respective injury report, but Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is also on his respective team’s injury report.

Dončić is on the list due to a right ankle sprain, and Jokic is on there due to elbow and ankle issues. Nonetheless, Dončić is listed as probable for this game, but Jokic entered this game as questionable.
However, Dončić has been upgraded to available and will start for the Lakers.

The Lakers star will play in his 38th game overall and his 16th in the purple and gold.
NBA ESPN insider Tim MacMahon said the Nuggets are “leaning against” playing Jokic and star guard Jamal Murray.

Dončić will do his best to tie the season series at two games a piece. A win in this game could go a long way in determining seeding. As things stand, the Nuggets are the No. 3 seed with a 44-25 record. The Lakers have a 42-25 record and are the No. 4 seed in the loaded West.
The Lakers enter this game as home underdogs with a -2.5 spread.
In two games against Denver this season, Dončić averages 28.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 2.5 steals. Jokic, on the other hand, averages 24.7 points per game, 11.0 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 2.0 steals in three games.
