Lakers Insider Reveals Big Roster Changes Could Be Coming Before Postseason
The Los Angeles Lakers are looking the part of a potential NBA Finals contender. Following the blockbuster trade ahead of the deadline to acquire Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers are without a doubt a team to watch.
Right now, they hold a 43-26 record. If the season ended today, Los Angeles would be the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
Looking at the roster, the Lakers have a lot of depth. However, they could be facing some major roster changes ahead of the playoffs.

According to a report from Jovan Buha of The Athletic, a reporter covering the Lakers, changes could be on the way in the near future.

Due to Jordan Goodwin being on a two-way contract, Los Angeles will need to be converted to a full roster spot in order to stay with the Lakers. That same situation applies to both Christian Koloko and Trey Jemison.
Buha revealed a couple of players who could end up being on their way out of Los Angeles in the near future.
“I think the only two obvious players to cut on the roster are Cam Reddish and Alex Len,” Buha said. “Shake Milton has two more years of a non-guaranteed contract, which could be a valuable trade chip. And then Markieff Morris is a beloved leader in the locker room, he is an internal leader. Luka loves him, LeBron loves him.”

He continued forward, revealing more information about the potential coming roster moves.
“The roster is going to remain the same outside of potentially waiving Len and Reddish and again, they have to waive one of them for Jordan Goodwin. And I think they should waive another one for Jemison and Koloko. I think it is probably going to be two, not three because I just don’t see an obvious third guy.”
Needless to say, this would be a tough break for both Reddish and Len. Of course, Len passed on an opportunity to sign with the Indiana Pacers to sign with the Lakers.
Keeping Goodwin should be a priority. Koloko has also looked like a solid role player in the time he has been given.
Unfortunately, for Reddish and Len, their team could be coming to an end without being given an opportunity to help Los Angeles compete in the NBA Playoffs.
