The Thunder come in winners in 17 of their last 18 games, including their last 10 in a row. In their last four games, no team has come within 15 points at the final buzzer. Most recently, the Thunder led by 34 at halftime and cruised from there, as they beat the Chicago Bulls 145-117. MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 27 points with 12 assists, while reserve Isaiah Joe knocked down eight three-pointers off the bench en route to a 31-point performance.
This will be a great test for the Pistons, as despite having a solid record and a hold on the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, they’ve been somewhat mediocre as of late, going just 9-7 over their last 16 games. Their last contest was a slugfest – literally – as the Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves got into a brawl that resulted in multiple ejections. The Pistons would lose the game 123-104, with Malik Beasley leading the team in scoring with 27.
This will be the second and final matchup of the Pistons and Thunder during the regular season, with the Thunder winning the first contest 113-107 on March 15th.
