Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana brushed off any concerns about President Donald Trump’s dropping approval ratings on Monday.
Just after a meeting with Trump at the White House about the 2026 midterm elections, Johnson was asked by CNN’s Manu Raju whether he was concerned if Trump’s approval ratings could cost the GOP the House of Representatives.

The House Speaker was joined at the White House by National Republican Congressional Committee’s Richard Hudson. Moments later, Trump endorsed Republican Reps. Derrick Van Orden, Juan Ciscomani, Scott Perry and Gabe Evans for Congress.
