NBA star LeBron James has sent his prayers to people caught up in a vehicle ramming incident in the British city of Liverpool on Monday.
“OMG!!!! WTH. My deepest thoughts and prayers goes out to everyone affected that attended @LFC Premiere League trophy parade today! Such a senseless act!” James wrote on X, formerly Twitter. James is a minor partner of Fenway Sports Group, which owns Liverpool Football Club.
A 53-year-old man, thought to be the driver, was arrested at the scene, with police saying the crash was not being investigated as an act of terrorism.
The fans were celebrating Liverpool’s Premier League victory on Monday when the horror unfolded, with children among the 47 people injured.
