One runway remains closed at the Seattle-Tacoma International Saturday following “a situation involving an aircraft,” a post on X from the airport said.
Both Port Police and Fire responded to the incident, requiring two runways out of the three to be closed earlier.
Passengers on the aircraft were deplaned as a result of the incident, the airport explained.
“One suspect is in custody. Passengers will be deplaned and returned to terminal after security screening,” the airport said on X.
While one person is now in custody, it is unclear exactly what the nature of the incident was or who the person is.
Travelers are advised to check their flight status with their airline as the investigation continues.
