New ‘King of the Hill’ Revival Poster Gives First Look at Two Returning Characters
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
The “King of the Hill” revival is off and kicking, and there has been plenty of news regarding the fan-favorite adult cartoon making its grand return. While series regulars Mike Judge as Hank Hill/Boomhauer, Kathy Najimy as Peggy, Pamela Adlon as Bobby, and Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive, there appear to be two more fan-favorite characters returning.

The new poster reveals a look at the much older citizens of Arlen, Texas, along with the appearance of Connie Souphanousinphone, aka Khan Jr., who was originally voiced by Lauren Tom, and Joseph Gribble, originally voiced by Breckin Meyer.
Hank is wearing glasses in the new poster, which shows Boomhauer, Bill, Dale, Bobby, Peggy, but now fans can see an older Connie and Joseph standing next to them.
This is the first time that both Joseph and Connie have been shown. What is not known is if Tom and Meyer will return to voice their respective characters.

Interestingly, Tom also voiced Minh Souphanousinphone as well, which could mean that the entire Souphanousinphone family might still be in Arlen.
Signs have already pointed to Khan potentially being involved, as original voice actor Toby Huss is also returning to the series. He is taking over voice duties for Dale Gribble, as Johnny Hardwick passed away in 2023.
It has been confirmed that Hardwick recorded six episodes before his untimely passing, and Huss will take over following the first six episodes of the revival.
Huss also voiced Cotton Hill, though there has been no indication if the salty Hill patriarch will be part of the revival in any way. Still, Huss’ involvement and Connie being shown could mean that Khan and the Minh might also be part of the revival.
The “King of the Hill” revival is set to release on Aug. 5 and will be streamed exclusively on Hulu.
The plot for the series is somewhat known, as the opening also showcased a bit about where the family has been. Peggy, Bobby, and Hank appear to have returned to a much different Arlen.
Bobby is now a renowned chef, while Hank and Peggy have returned to where they raised their son. Also, it appears that Dale has taken a liking to politics, as the new opening showcased him running for mayor.
