NY Giants Insider Reveals Value Of Cam Skattebo’s New Deal
Another rookie locked in their contract on Wednesday, as the New York Giants announced that the running back Cam Skattebo signed the dotted line officially.
Although Skattebo wasn’t locked in just yet, the running back has spent the spring with the team, participating in OTAs and minicamp. He is the final member of the Giants’ 2025 draft class to sign his deal.
Skattebo’s contract will run for four years. It’s worth $5.3 million, which includes a $1.1 million signing bonus, according to NorthJersey.com.
The 23-year-old joined the Giants after wrapping up a four-year run in the NCAA. He started his career at Sacramento State in 2021. After playing 24 games at Sacramento State across two seasons, Skattebo transferred to Arizona State in 2023.

During his first season in Arizona, Skattebo started seven of the 12 games he played. Picking up 164 carries, the running back rushed for 783 yards and scored nine touchdowns on the ground. He also caught 24 passes for 286 yards and one score.
When Skattebo played his final season at ASU, he started all 13 games. Picking up 293 carries, Skattebo rushed for 1,711 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. He also caught 45 passes for 605 yards and put up three touchdowns.
The Giants picked up Skattebo in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He leaves the NCAA as a First-Team All-American, First-Team All-Big 12, and First-Team All-Big Sky. While Skattebo reached a notable level of stardom in college, he’s prepared to start from square one in the NFL, recently noting that he has accomplished nothing at this point.

“How many snaps in the NFL have you seen me play? Zero, right? I proved nothing. I proved what I am in college, but I proved nothing at this level. Now, where I’m at, I have to prove myself. If that’s for five years or that’s for 10 years, I’m going to continue to prove myself. The best do it for the longest. I’ll continue to do that, and just work my butt off until the time comes,” Skattebo told reporters two weeks ago.

Skattebo is one of seven players to join the Giants through the 2025 NFL Draft. With Skattebo signed, the Giants have officially added Abdul Carter, Jaxson Dart, Darius Alexander, Marcus Mbow, Thomas Fidone II, and Korie Black.
