Bears QB Caleb Williams Sends Clear Message to Packers Fans
The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are two of the most bitter rivals in the NFL. That rivalry has not gone away, despite the fact that the Packers have had the upper hand of it for many years now.
While the recent history of the rivalry has not been favorable to the Bears, Chicago is making strong moves to get back into contention. Led by new head coach Ben Johnson and second-year quarterback Caleb Williams, the future is bright for the Bears.
Even though he’s brand new to the NFL, Williams has already made it clear where he stands when it comes to the rivalry.

When speaking to sports analyst Kay Adams recently, Williams spoke out with a strong message about Packers fans. He named them among the worst in the league when talking about his worst fan experience so far.

“One of mine was probably at Green Bay, I mean, they suck, but it was after the game, after we won at Lambeau,” Williams said.
“Uh, 1-0 at Lambeau right now,” he said. “We so obviously try to do the ‘Lambeau leap’ and we actually try to jump in the crowd where our fans were and they (Packers fans) just, they start throwing everything at you. They push you off and the Lambeau leap, it’s a real leap. It’s not a little baby jump. You actually have to high jump basically. And then they’re pushing you, pushing your face. Yeah, that was probably then.”
Just from that short statement alone, it’s clear how much Williams dislikes Green Bay. He has taken over the rivalry exactly how Chicago fans wanted him to.
During his rookie season, Williams played solid football. He threw for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions, completing 62.5 percent of his pass attempts. Williams also ran for 489 yards.

Heading into the upcoming 2025 season, the Bears have one goal. They want to get back into the playoffs and start contending in the NFC North division again.
Williams will be looking to improve his record against the Packers. The rivalry lives on and it could get even more contested this season with Chicago’s improvements.
Green Bay fans are going to have something to say to Williams when he comes back to Lambeau Field. After these comments, it would be a safe bet that Williams will not receive a warm welcome when he plays the Packers in Green Bay next.
