Donald Trump Warns Iran Against ‘Any Retaliation’ After US Strikes: Live Updates
President Donald Trump confirmed that U.S. B-2 bombers hit Iran’s Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear complexes overnight, drawing Washington into Israel’s widening war with Tehran.
In a brief address, Trump said the sites were “fully obliterated,” calling the raids essential to halt Iran’s push for a nuclear bomb. Iran condemned what it called a “criminal” act and said the U.S. had “launched a dangerous war against Iran.” The U.N. nuclear watchdog reported no radiation leaks.
On Capitol Hill, the assault split the right: Senator Lindsey Graham called it “the right call” while Representative Thomas Massie labelled the strikes unconstitutional.
The progressive left is equally alarmed; Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the attack offers clear “grounds for impeachment,” accusing Trump of bypassing Congress and endangering civilians.
Israel, which spent two weeks degrading Iranian air defenses, praised U.S. involvement as decisive.
Embassies and energy markets across the region are now on high alert amid fears of missile reprisals by Iran and its proxies.
Trump warned of more military action “if peace does not come quickly,” while Iran’s foreign minister said Tehran reserves “all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.”

Trump warns Iran against any response to strikes
U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran not to respond to U.S. strikes on three of its major nuclear facilities on Saturday, attacks which brought Washington directly into the war between Israel and Iran.
Trump said on Saturday evening the U.S. had bombed three of Iran’s major nuclear sites in “massive precision strikes” to take out Tehran’s nuclear enrichment facilities and Iran’s ability to make a nuclear weapon.
The strikes were a “spectacular military success,” Trump said. “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.”
“ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT,” Trump said in a post to his Truth Social platform late on Saturday.
Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khameini, had threatened the U.S. with “irreparable damage” if Washington became militarily involved Israel’s strikes on Iran.
Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said in the hours before the U.S. strikes that Washington’s involvement would be “very, very dangerous.”
Israel launched what it termed a “preemptive” campaign against Iran’s nuclear facilities and scientists, as well as the country’s ballistic missile sites and other military assets, late on June 12 U.S. time. Iran responded with drone and ballistic missile barrages.
Israel targeted a number of the country’s nuclear sites, including Iran’s main enrichment facility at Natanz, southeast of Tehran and Isfahan, southwest of Natanz.
But Israel could not effectively target Iran’s nuclear program at Fordow, which Iran built under a mountain south of Tehran. Only the U.S.’s B-2 heavy stealth bombers and massive bombs would work for that type of attack, experts said.
