Woman Starts Filming ‘Beautiful’ Dog in Car—Then Comes an Adorable Twist

Internet users can’t get enough of an adorable dog with its head sticking out of a car window—but then came an unexpected twist.

TikTok user Judith (@judith.801) stopped at a red light when she saw the sweet dog enjoying a breeze through the car window. She couldn’t resist capturing a video of the large canine to savor the moment, but then something extraordinary happened while she was filming.

It turns out that the dog wasn’t alone, because it was suddenly joined by a tiny puppy who also peered out of the window. Judith couldn’t get enough of the big dog and its mini me, as she said it was “the cutest thing” she has ever seen.

The sweet video was shared on TikTok in June, and, in just a matter of days, has gone viral with over 1.6 million views and more than 417,000 likes at the time of writing. Layered over the clip, the caption reads: “Recorded this beautiful dog at a red light … and then all [of a] sudden.”

Just as people must always wear a seat belt when traveling by car, dogs should also be suitably restrained, too. Of course, there are several different ways of keeping them safe in a moving vehicle, including a safety harness, a crate, or a carrier to keep them safe.

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) says that, when unrestrained, small pets can crawl into the footwell and interfere with the pedals, or large animals could interfere with the driver’s view. In the unfortunate case of a collision, a pet who isn’t restrained may be crushed by air bags or could even be thrown from the vehicle.

Letting dogs stick their head out of the window is certainly fun, but it is also incredibly risky. Any flying debris can cause injury to the canine, and they could try to jump out the window if something in particular catches their eye.

So, when traveling with a pet of any kind, the AVMA recommends following safety protocols to mitigate the risk of any injury.

Internet users can’t get enough of the dog and the puppy standing side by side on the backseat of the car. Just like Judith, many were delighted by the sight of the adult dog taking in the fresh air, only to be stunned by the adorable surprise that came after.

As many people took to the comments section on TikTok, this has led to more than 530 comments on the viral video so far.
