Burrow, Goff, Cousins on ‘Perfection’ in ‘Quarterback’ Season 2 Sneak Peek
The highly anticipated season 2 of “Quarterback” is nearly here, which will take an in-depth look at Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow, Atlanta Falcons’ Kirk Cousins, and Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff.

Each signal caller will narrate and dive deep into their emotions about being a quarterback in the NFL. The first season of the series was a hit on Netflix, and the second is set to bring in a new cast of quarterbacks, excluding Cousins.
Cousins was so much of a draw from the first season that he was brought back to appear in the second season. That said, Netflix has revealed a sneak peek of the second season ahead of its premiere, with all three passers discussing “perfection.”
The sneak peek clip showcases Cousins taking a hit and then discussing perfection on the sideline to his teammate. Cousins says, “You’re never gonna play perfect, but I hate when I don’t.”
Goff is next up with a simple statement, “My definition of perfection is impossible.” The quote is placed next to him, throwing a bomb downfield to a receiver in the end zone, with Goff screaming out in excitement.

Burrow is up next, stating, “It’s something abstract that you strive for.” A clip shows him visibly upset on the sidelines while throwing his helmet. The announcers for the game even comment on how upset the Bengals quarterback is, despite the score from the game being 38-17, according to the announcer.
“I don’t think that’s really achievable,” Burrow adds.
The idea that a quarterback has to be perfect is not out of the realm of possibility, as errant throws can decide games for these quarterbacks. Whether it’s a missed touchdown, a costly turnover, or inches away from landing a first down — being perfect matters.
Now, what Burrow is stating is true. Being perfect in the NFL is not achievable. Even the top quarterbacks don’t have a 100 percent completion percentage.
Burrow led the league in yards with 4,918, but still only had a 70.6 completion percentage. He is one of the most accurate passers in the league, but nowhere near perfect.
“Quarterback” is going to be an incredible look not only at three of the most successful quarterbacks in the NFL, but what it takes physically and mentally to be a success in the game of football.
“Quarterback” season 2 drops on Netflix on July 18.
