Jeffrey Epstein’s Brother Reacts to Trump Administration’s Review of Case
Jeffrey Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, has publicly criticized the Trump administration’s handling of the investigation into Jeffrey’s death.
In an interview with NewsNation’s Andrew Cuomo, Mark expressed disbelief at the official conclusion that Jeffrey died by suicide, stating, “Every time they say something or do something to try to quash the fact that he was most likely murdered, they just put their foot further down their mouth.”

In a memo published earlier this week, following an “exhaustive review of investigative holdings relating to Jeffrey Epstein,” the FBI and DOJ said, “While we have labored to provide the public with maximum information regarding Epstein and ensured examination of any evidence in the government’s possession, it is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.”
Mark Epstein specifically targeted FBI Director Kash Patel, questioning Patel’s qualifications to determine the cause of death without medical expertise or direct involvement in the autopsy.
“When Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was,” he told Cuomo.
Mark Epstein also highlighted statements from two medical examiners, Dr. Kristin Roman and Dr. Michael Baden, who both suggested that Jeffrey’s death appeared more like a homicide.
According to Epstein’s brother, Dr. Roman was unable to label it a suicide due to suspicious evidence, and Dr. Baden, who observed the autopsy on behalf of the Epstein family, concurred with the homicide assessment. These expert opinions have fueled Mark’s skepticism regarding the official narrative.
“Contrast that [Patel’s reversal] to Dr. Roman, who was a city pathologist who did the autopsy; she came out of the autopsy and said she couldn’t call it a suicide because it looked too much like a homicide. Dr. Michael Baden, who was there on my behalf, who witnessed the autopsy, also concurred that it looked more like a homicide than a suicide,” he continued on “Cuomo.”
“Now, was Kash Patel in that autopsy room? No. Was Kash Patel in the prison when they found Jeffrey? No, I don’t think so, and if he was there that raises an even bigger question.”
The release of 11 hours of CCTV footage by the FBI, intended to quell conspiracy theories, has instead intensified them due to a one-minute gap in the video—from 11:58:59 PM to midnight. Attorney General Pam Bondi attributed the missing minute to a glitch in the prison’s recording system, noting that such gaps occurred nightly. However, this explanation has been met with skepticism, with critics, including many in President Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) base, arguing that it raises further questions about the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey’s death.
Additionally, the Department of Justice and the FBI have concluded their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein without releasing new evidence or a so-called “client list.”
This has led to frustration among those suspecting foul play, including Mark Epstein, who believes that his brother’s death was not adequately investigated and that crucial information may be withheld.
