In the third round, Sideline Cancer defeated No. 7 seed La Ignite 74-71, while Eberlein Drive took down No. 1 seed La Familia, a team of Kentucky alums, 71-70.
Eberlein Drive features AJ Slaughter, Anthony Clemmons, Aubrey Dawkins, Christian Mekowulu, Coty Clarke, Dayvion McKnight, Gabe York, Junathaen Watson, Pedro Bradshaw, Rion Brown, Terrell Brown, Terry Taylor, and Tommy Rutherford
Sideline Cancer features players Alonzo Verge Jr., Branden Jenkins, Chris Coffey, Cullen Russo, Jacob Conway, Jericole Hellems, Jermaine Marrow, Joshua Cohen, Keith Braxton Jr., Marcellus Earlington, Matthew Crowley, Tay Weaver, and Trey Moses.
Now in its 12th season, The Basketball Tournament is an open-invitation, single-elimination tournament featuring teams from around the country competing for a 1 million dollar prize. The tournament is unique in that it uses the Elam Ending, a rule that sets a target score near the end of the fourth quarter, with the first team to reach that score winning the game.
