WWE Star Refuses To Apologize For Fan Incident
WWE star Grayson Waller is continuing to maintain his heel persona outside the squared circle. On the September 1 episode of “RAW,” Waller was seen smashing a fan’s phone, which had fallen on the entrance aisle, by stomping on it. In a new interview, he has confirmed the incident was not a planned segment and issued a warning to fans.
The Aussie star has been associating with The New Day since his regular tag team partner, Austin Theory, was sidelined with an injury. During the “RAW” taping, Waller, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods faced Penta and The War Raiders in a six-man tag team match, which they lost.
Grayson Waller On The WWE Fan Incident
While appearing on the “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast, the former Tag Team Champion was asked whether the incident that occurred with the fan’s phone on September 1 was legitimate. Waller confirmed that it was and not a planned segment, while also issuing a warning to fans about similar future occurrences if they were not careful.
“I did that 100% on purpose,” Waller said. “My favorite thing is… you know, they put it on Instagram and I was reading through the comments, and all the comments were like, ‘I’ve watched WWE Unreal. It is a plant. It is not a real fan. Works for WWE.’ And I’m dying, because I know that’s a real fan.”
He continued, “That guy put his phone in harm’s way. Woods took it, and I stepped on it. We didn’t organize that. That’s not going to end up on WWE Unreal. That guy’s going home with a great story and a broken phone. If you’re at a WWE show, be careful—because it might happen again.”
