Groomsmen Try On Suits Night Before Wedding, Realize Big Problem
A group of groomsmen has gained viral attention after they tried on the suits for a wedding just hours before the big day.
TikTok user @spencerpiercee shared the moment in a now-viral video that has racked up 8.7 million views, showing his friends trying on their tuxedos for the first time.
But when the men put on the outfits, there was a problem—none of the suits fit properly.
One groomsman’s pants stopped awkwardly at the knees, another’s jacket hung oversized and boxy, and the shoes looked comically large, resembling clown footwear.
Now three years later, they can all laugh about the unexpected moment. The video caption said: “A day we will not soon forget!! No hate just a good laugh!”
Behind The Outfit Mishap
In a follow-up post, groom Spencer explained that the wardrobe disaster wasn’t due to a careless online order from budget retailers, but rather a simple mistake by the local supplier.
“Most of the tuxes came in a day or two before the wedding,” Spencer said in his follow-up video. “I tried mine on after the rehearsal just to see how everything fit, and then I texted the guys. They FaceTimed me to show me that their pants were a little short and their shoes were 15 sizes too big.”
Despite the late-night panic, the wedding party pulled together. “A couple guys had to get some pants that were at least as close as possible,” Spencer explained. “It may not have been the exact color or style, but we nipped that in the bud. We got it all worked out and had a good time.”
Internet Reacts
As the video gained more attention on TikTok viewers flooded the comments with laughter and sympathy.
“I have tears rolling down my face why are men like this,” said one commenter.
Another said: “None of them saw the suit and thought ‘Hmmmm this doesn’t look right,’ like none of them visually could tell something was off.”
“Y’all would have had to haul me to the hospital to help me breathe from laughing so hard lol,” wrote another commenter.
This isn’t the first time a wedding mishap has gained viral attention. Earlier this year a bride went viral for sharing her list of everything that went wrong on her wedding day, while another group of groomsmen melted hearts when the bride gave them a “first look” in a heartwarming video.
