Bills Linked to Top WR to Bolster Offense Ahead of NFL Trade Deadline
The Buffalo Bills are off to a red-hot start to the 2025 season, going 4-0 and running through most of their competition.
Quarterback Josh Allen is once again looking like an MVP candidate, throwing for 964 yards, seven touchdowns, and just one interception so far, and star running back James Cook has also been on fire, totaling over 100 scrimmage yards in each of his first four games to go along with five touchdowns.
Between Allen and Cook, they’re leading an offense that’s built to compete for a championship.
The only part of the team’s offense that could use some more stability is its wide receiver corps. There are four Bills receivers with at least 138 yards, but no true No. 1 option. Second-year wideout Keon Coleman is currently the team’s WR1, but he only has 13 more yards than the next-closest receiver.
Buffalo could look to acquire a star receiver to push the team over the edge and help solidify its chances at a championship. Luckily for the Bills, there is one on the market who could be the difference-maker they need.

Bills Linked to Raiders Star WR Jakobi Meyers
Ahead of this season, Las Vegas Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers requested a trade as he felt he was being undervalued with his current contract. With Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill going down with a season-ending injury, Meyers is now the top receiver on the market.
Matt Verderame and Gilberto Manzano of Sports Illustrated recently suggested the Bills should look to trade for Meyers to help bolster Allen’s offense with the Bills sending a fourth-round pick to the Raiders.
“While the Bills have an offense ranked second in points and sixth in passing yards per game, they don’t have terrific boundary receivers, with Joshua Palmer and Keon Coleman,” they wrote. “The duo has 341 yards and one touchdown through four games. Trading a mid-round pick for Meyers, who has 21 catches and 258 yards, would add a significant weapon for Josh Allen.”
Not only would Meyers provide more opportunities for Allen in the passing game, but adding that extra threat on the outside could provide Cook with even more room to operate between the tackles.
