Calgary settled for a split on a two-game Pacific Division road win as it took a 5-1 pasting at the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. Morgan Frost scored the lone goal for the Flames, cutting their deficit to 4-1 at 13:06 of the third period. Calgary laid 35 hits to just 27 for the Canucks but was outshot 26-18. The Flames opened the season with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.
