Nevada dropped its MWC opener at Fresno State last week, dropping a 20-17 decision when the Bulldogs were able to run the final 8:42 off the clock on their final possession. Carter Jones finished 11-of-15 for 121 yards and two touchdowns after starter Chubba Purdy was pulled after throwing two picks in his first four attempts. Caleb Ramseur ran for 77 yards on 16 carries and caught a touchdown pass, as did Dakota Thomas. The Wolf Pack won the last meeting between the teams 6-0 in San Diego in 2023.
