Rams’ Puka Nacua Gets Encouraging Injury Update From Sports Doctor
Los Angeles Rams superstar wide receiver Puka Nacua exited the field during the first half of Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens with an apparent lower-leg injury.
During an attempted touchdown catch, Nacua went crashing to the turf while guarded by Ravens’ cornerback Marlon Humphrey. The inside of his right foot slammed into Humphrey’s knee, causing him to limp off the field and straight back into the Rams’ locker room for further evalutation.
Fortunately for the Rams, the injury doesn’t appear as serious as initially feared. Nacua was able to return in the second half of the Rams’ 17-3 win over the Ravens.
Jesse Morse, a well-known sports doctor on X, gave an encouraging update on Nacua’s injury after his return to the field.
“Puka’s returning – no fracture! It was actually his right foot, and it hit the opposing player’s knee in his midfoot. Likely a mild midfoot sprain and a bone bruise. Probably put a carbon fiber insert into his cleat,” Morse wrote.

This injury ultimately resulted in the worst stat line of Nacua’s 2025 season so far, as he reeled in just two passes for 28 yards. Heading into Sunday’s Week 6 matchup, he’d notched at least 85 receiving yards in each of his first five games, leading the NFL in both receptions (52) and receiving yards (588).
With Sunday’s win over the Ravens, the Rams improved to 4-2. Tight end Tyler Higbee finished the game as Los Angeles’ leading receiver, reeling in four catches for 40 yards and one touchdown.

Further updates on Nacua’s injury status will be released when the Rams take the field for practice this coming week.
