Giants’ Brian Burns Spotted in Walking Boot After Broncos Loss
The New York Giants took a 19-0 lead into the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Week 7 matchup against the Denver Broncos. But when the final whistle blew at Mile High Stadium, the final score read 33-32 in favor of the home team Broncos.
Quarterback Bo Nix and Denver’s offense scored four touchdowns in the fourth quarter, overcoming a 26-8 deficit with just six minutes remaining.
The Broncos’ 33 points in the final frame mark the most of any team in NFL history that had previously been shutout through the first three quarters. They’re the first and only team to score at least 30 points in the fourth quarter after going scoreless through the first three since the Atlanta Falcons in 1981.
Brian Burns and the Giants defense were on the other end of the historic comeback.
After the game, Burns was caught on camera voicing his displeasure with the Giants’ defensive scheme with an expletive-laden rant as he walked down the postgame tunnel.
To make matters worse, Burns was spotted wearing a walking boot on his right foot after the heartbreaking loss.
“Brian Burns leaving the locker room in a boot. Says ‘I’m good.’ Just precautionary,” Giants insider Jordan Raanan of ESPN reported.

Burns has been excellent for the Giants so far this season. With two sacks in Sunday’s loss, the two-time Pro-Bowl pass-rusher now leads the NFL with nine sacks, taking over the top spot previously held by Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto (8).
The Giants claimed a victory over the reigning Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6, and for much of Sunday’s matchup against the AFC West-leading Broncos, it appeared the New York squad was poised for its third victory in its last four games.

Despite the inspired play of rookie QB Jaxson Dart, who threw for 283 yards, three touchdowns and one interception and added another score on the ground, Sunday’s loss dropped the Giants to 2-5.
New York will look to bounce back in a Week 8 rematch against the Eagles next Sunday.
In their first meeting two weeks ago, Dart threw for 195 yards and a touchdown and ran for 58 yards and another score while fellow rookie Cam Skattebo rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns in the Giants’ 34-17 victory.
