Blue Jays’ Bo Bichette Reveals World Series Status Amid Injury
Toronto Blue Jays star shortstop Bo Bichette, who hasn’t played since the first week of September, told MLB Network’s Jon Morosi that he’ll be available for the World Series.

“I’m good,” Bichette said.
Bichette last played on Sept. 6 when he suffered a knee sprain. He’s been working his way back ever since, and Blue Jays manager John Schneider provided an update on him ahead of Monday’s Game 7.
“Progress is kind of just where he feels with his swing and how much more comfortable he feels kind of letting it rip,” Schneider said. “I think the base running and the defense is something hopefully we can advance and we can check those boxes in the next few days. He’s done some light stuff, but hasn’t been like full go at short. And he’s not back on the bases yet, but the running has picked up in the outfield, just in terms of the intensity and the build-up or the length of it, to be perfectly honest.
“So, yeah, we’ll see how he goes over the next couple days. Hopefully we can stick around long enough and he can get back to us.”
Bichette had a bounce back 2025 campaign, appearing in 139 games and slashing .311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs, 94 RBIs and an OPS of .840. He played a key role in the Blue Jays’ winning the American League East and earning the No. 1 seed in the AL.

The Blue Jays have been able to advance through the postseason without Bichette, but he’ll add another dimension to a lineup that has relied heavily on Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who won the ALCS MVP award. George Springer has also had a strong postseason, including hitting the go-ahead three-run home run in Game 7.
While Bichette revealed he’ll be on the World Series roster, his status for Game 1 likely remains up in the air. He’ll do everything he can to get ready for the series opener, which is Friday night in Toronto.
