A new WWE champion was crowned in a big upset during “Friday Night SmackDown.” Giulia lost the WWE Women’s United States Championship to Chelsea Green inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville. Thanks to interference from Alba Fyre of The Secret Hervice, Green managed to use the ropes as leverage to score the pin on Giulia.
Green has now doubled up on gold. She is one half of the AAA Mixed World Tag Team Champions along with “NXT” star Ethan Page. With the victory, Green now begins her second reign as the WWE Women’s United States Champion.

Looking Back at Chelsea Green’s Inaugural Reign
Green became the first professional wrestling star to capture the WWE Women’s United States Championship on Dec. 14, 2024. She defeated Michin in a tournament final match on “Saturday Night’s Main Event.”
During the April 25 episode of “WWE SmackDown,” Green lost the title in a shocking upset loss to Zelina. Giulia ended up pinning Zelina on the June 27 episode of the blue brand. She is officially the longest-reigning champion in the title’s young lineage.
Time will tell if Giulia’s WWE Women’s United States Championship loss will cause a rift between her and Kiana James, who tried interfering in the match before being dropped by Fyre. With Green holding two titles, The Secret Hervice is back on track. The faction had been going through a rough transition period following Green’s initial title loss and the absence of Piper Niven due to an injury.
Green also may have moved one step closer to bringing her tag team partner on the main roster full-time. Page appeared in the arena to celebrate with Green and Fyre.
