Protesters storm COP30 in Brazil 

Dozens of protesters forced their way into a United Nations climate summit venue in Brazil on Tuesday, demanding environmental action and forest protection.  

Videos showed clashes between security guards and individuals who stormed the venue hosting the COP30 summit in Belem, where thousands of delegates from around the world were attending. 

The protesters left the scene shortly after the clashes, which injured at least two security guards, according to the UN. 

Indigenous communities have been presented by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as key players in the summit. 

But one indigenous leader from the Tupinamba community told Reuters about the community’s anger at development in the Amazon rainforest.
