Bills Predicted to Make Drastic Offensive Change Against Buccaneers
Despite sitting at 6-3 on the year, the Buffalo Bills offense has struggled with consistency throughout the 2025 season, particularly when it comes to the passing game. As a result, reports have emerged suggesting the Bills may make a drastic change pertaining to starting second-year wide receiver Keon Coleman.
After putting together the best game of his career in the team’s season-opening game, many believed Coleman was destined to break out and become the unquestioned No. 1 receiver that Bills fans have been searching for since parting ways with Stefon Diggs.
Unfortunately, that has yet to come to fruition. Since Week 1, Coleman hasn’t recorded over 50 receiving yards in a single game, which has led to Buffalo seeking out other options at the position prior to Sunday’s game.
On Saturday, the Bills activated both Gabe Davis and Mecole Hardman from their practice squad, creating a packed wide receiver room for their matchup with the Buccaneers.

After the decision to activate both Davis and Hardman, the Bills will have eight healthy wide receivers for Sunday’s game.
Chances are, only six of these eight wide receivers will be made active for the matchup. Due to Coleman’s lack of production this year, Alex Brasky of Bills Digest predicted that the 2024 second-round pick could be the odd man out and be made a healthy scratch.
Interestingly, Brasky is not the only one who seems to believe Coleman will be a healthy scratch. According to Cover 1, a Bills-focused podcast page, a source with inside knowledge of the situation claimed to them that Coleman will indeed be a healthy scratch.

It’s important to note that this information has not been directly reported by the organization. We likely won’t know Buffalo’s true intentions for Coleman until shortly before kickoff on Sunday morning.
Still, it sure seems like the Bills wide receiving corps could look far different on Sunday based solely on Davis and Hardman being elevated. So it will be interesting to see whether any potential changes on the horizon lead to a more consistent Buffalo offense against Tampa Bay.
