The Denver Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 22-19 in Week 11 at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday, a game decided by Will Lutz’s late field goal as Denver extended its winning streak and seized firm control of the AFC West.
Travis Kelce’s 21-yard fourth-quarter touchdown catch from Patrick Mahomes gave Kansas City its first lead of the game and produced a significant milestone in the process: Kelce passed Priest Holmes to become the Chiefs’ franchise leader in regular-season touchdowns, reaching 84 career scores.
Tyreek Hill, Kelce’s former teammate and eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver now with the Miami Dolphins, reshared the milestone with a one‑word endorsement on Monday: “Goat.”

Kelce finished the game with nine receptions for 91 yards and the record‑setting touchdown; after Week 11, he ranks second among tight ends in receiving yards (631), tied for third in receiving TDs (five), and tied for fourth in receptions (50), all at the age of 36.
Hill spent his first six NFL seasons in Kansas City (2016-2021), totaling 479 receptions for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns with the Chiefs before moving to Miami.
While he produced four 1,000-yard seasons in Kansas City alongside Kelce and Mahomes, winning a Super Bowl in 2019, his best year came in 2023 with the Dolphins, leading the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 TDs on 119 receptions.

Even before Sunday’s historic performance, many place Kelce in the top tier of tight ends in NFL history, alongside names like Rob Gronkowski, Tony Gonzalez, and Antonio Gates.
He currently stands second all-time in career receptions (1,054) and receiving yards (12,782) at the position, behind Gonzalez, but he also has 10 Pro Bowl nods, seven All-Pro selections, and three Super Bowls.
Kelce also holds numerous NFL records, including most receiving yards in a season by a tight end (1,416), most seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards (seven), and consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons by a tight end (seven).
In the postseason, he holds the career receiving touchdown record with 20 postseason scores, as well as the all-time receiving record with 2,039 yards.
Kelce’s combination of career receiving totals, longevity, consistent All‑Pro/Pro Bowl presence, and postseason impact has pushed many, including Hill, to consider him arguably the greatest ever at the position.
