Referee in Bills-Texans Game Carted Off Field With Significant Leg Injury
It is not often that a cart has to come out for injured players, but it is even more rare that it comes out for a referee. During the Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans game on “Thursday Night Football,” a referee had to be carted off the field after suffering a significant leg injury.

During the third quarter, longtime NFL referee Adrian Hill was in the endzone watching play when he began to sprint. After taking an awkward step, it appeared that he suffered a significant leg injury.
Hill had to be helped off the field, leading to a medical cart coming out to take him to the locker room, where he could be attended to. The umpire for the game stepped into the role of referee.
The hope is that the injury Hill suffered is not something that will keep him off the field for a long time. However, being carted off the field is never a good sign.

The Bills-Texans game has been filled with injuries, as Nico Collins, Josh Allen, Dion Dawkins, and more have experienced injury scares in the highly physical game. Houston has been all over Allen, causing him to turn the ball over at inopportune times.
At the time of this writing, the Texans are leading the way with a 20-16 score. There is plenty of football left to play, and this is still anyone’s game.
The Texans need a big win to improve to 6-5 and get back into the thick of the AFC playoff conversation. Currently, the team is listed as the eighth seed in the current playoff picture.
Houston has shown plenty of fight without C.J. Stroud, who remains out due to a concussion he suffered in Week 8.
