Jason Kelce Sends Clear Message on Eagles’ Jalen Hurts-AJ Brown Drama
Heading into Sunday’s Week 12 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles had won four straight games and were considered by many to be the best team in the NFC.
But after allowing a 21-point comeback and losing 24-21 to their division rival, things are looking pretty bleak for the Eagles on Monday morning.
Add in the ongoing drama surrounding the team (recent reports indicate star quarterback Jalen Hurts and receiver A.J. Brown have beef with each other), and Philadelphia is potentially sitting on a powder keg that could ignite at any moment.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini recently reported that several Eagles players had grown frustrated with Hurts’ performance this season, including his hesitation on down-field throws.

Brown has also not been shy about making it known he’s unhappy with the amount of targets he’s been getting this season, which some attribute to his falling out with Hurts.
Several analysts have shared their opinion in recent weeks about the situation, but Eagles legend Jason Kelce decided it was time he speak up and send a message to his former locker room.
“I hate seeing this,” Kelce said, via Awful Announcing. “The only way out of this — and I mean this fully — the only way…you talk to people, you be accountable, you try and work this out. It’s not that much different than what you do in your marriage.
“You try to be accountable to what you’re doing wrong, what you’re failing in. You try to take accountability to alleviate the burden off of other people. These are the ways you maintain relationships and maintain a team functionality.”

The 38-year-old Kelce, who was a seven-time Pro Bowler, a six-time All-Pro selection, and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles during his 13-year NFL career, also made the case that Hurts’ track record over the years, including leading them to a Super Bowl championship last season, should be enough for his teammates to set their differences aside as they try to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
“I think that there’s been reports of this over two or three years, and the team has still been massively successful,” Kelce added. “I think that by and large, the body of work that Jalen has put out there — you can’t deny, in my opinion. I think that you have to continue to work through this, and the only way to do that is to be accountable and to try and work together and maintain these relationships in a healthy way.”
