Michigan Dealt Surprising Injury News Before Ohio State Game

Over the weekend the Michigan Wolverines improved to 9-2 on the season with a 45-20 blowout win over Maryland.

While Michigan improved to 9-2 this season, the Wolverines received some brutal news after the game when fullback and captain Max Bredeson was spotted on crutches with his leg in a walking boot. After the contest, head coach Sherrone Moore said the injury “doesn’t look great.”

“We’ll get confirmation when we get back home and get the x-rays,” Moore said. “But, we’ll see what it is. Doesn’t look great. We’re just praying for him.”

It appears the team may have received much better news than initially anticipated.

Bredeson, who was still wearing a boot on his right leg and moving around on a scooter, hinted that he’ll be suiting up against the Buckeyes this weekend.

“I’m not going to say exactly what it is now, but I’m feeling good, feeling better each day, and I’m ready to go. We’re going to do everything in our power to be able to play on Saturday, and I’m feeling good about it. I’m feeling really good about it. I love this place too much to not try,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

Given Moore’s dire comments after the injury it would be a surprise to see Bredeson take the field, but he’s clearly doing everything in his power to face off against the Wolverines’ bitter rival. Michigan can make it five straight against Ohio State with a win on Saturday.
