Trump Slams Immigration in Late-Night Thanksgiving Message
President Donald Trump shared a late-night holiday message on Thursday, in which he blasted Americans who he said had allowed the U.S. “to be divided, disrupted, carved up” over immigration.
“A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being “Politically Correct,” and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration,” he wrote on Truth Social at around 11.30 p.m. ET.
The message strikes a starkly different tone from the formal Thanksgiving proclamation he shared earlier today, calling for national unity, gratitude to God and reflection on American history.
However, it does mirror the politically-charged holiday post he shared in 2024, when he addressed his political opponents directly and framed the holiday in terms of electoral victory. “Happy Thanksgiving to all,” he wrote, “including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed.”
