John Cena Loses Final WWE PLE Match at Survivor Series 2025
The final WWE PLE match in the professional wrestling career of John Cena ended in a loss at “Survivor Series 2025.” Cena entered Petco Park in San Diego as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. He didn’t leave with the title, as Dominik Mysterio regained “Monday Night Raw’s” male midcard gold thanks to some assistance.
Cena appeared to be on the verge of scoring his second victory over The Judgment Day member before Liv Morgan made her return. Morgan appeared for the first time since June, costing Cena the championship.
Mysterio initially faked an injury and had Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez attack Cena while the referee was distracted. That plan didn’t work, as Rodriguez and Perez were ejected from the match. Morgan’s appearance was the first time she was seen on WWE TV since suffering a shoulder injury.

John Cena’s Career Nears Its End
Now that his “Survivor Series 2025” appearance is over, the future WWE Hall of Famer only has one more date left in his in-ring career. Cena will take center stage for “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on Dec. 13. He will face the winner of the Last Time Is Now tournament inside Capital One Arena in Washington.
The final four performers in the tournament have been determined. In the semifinals, it’ll be Gunther vs. Solo Sikoa and LA Knight vs. Jey Uso. Gunther is a heavy favorite to win the tournament and go on to be Cena’s final opponent.
Cena recently announced that “NXT” stars will also be showcased at “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” WWE has yet to reveal which performers of its developmental brand will be showcased during Cena’s final night as an active wrestler.
