Packers Make Final Decision on Josh Jacobs Against Broncos
The Green Bay Packers are making their final preparations for a huge Week 15 showdown against the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
Heading into this week’s game, there are some who view the matchup as a potential Super Bowl preview. Both teams appear to be legitimate contenders in their respective conferences.
Leading up to kickoff, there has been a big question mark for the Packers. That question mark has been about the playing status of star running back Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs has been dealing with a knee injury throughout the week. There has been real concern about his ability to play against the Broncos. A final decision appears to have been reached by Green Bay.

According to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Jacobs is expected to play for the Packers this week. Pelissero also reported that backup running back Emmanuel Wilson is also expected to give it a go despite dealing with an illness.
“Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) is expected to play Sunday vs. the Broncos, sources tell me and @RapSheet,” Pelissero wrote on X. “RB Emanuel Wilson, who is questionable with an illness, plans to play but it’ll depend on how he feels in the morning.”
Having Jacobs on the field will give Green Bay a much better chance of pulling off a huge road victory. He has been an integral part of the Packers’ offense over the last two years.
So far this season in Green Bay, Jacobs has played in 12 games. He has carried the football 206 times for 817 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging a decent four yards per carry. Jacobs has also caught 31 passes for 251 yards.
Not only is Jacobs able to make a big impact on the ground himself, his presence takes pressure off of Jordan Love and the passing game. Now, the Denver defense will have to respect both facets of the Packers’ offense.

Entering this week’s game, Green Bay holds a 9-3-1 record and the lead in the NFC North division race. The Broncos, on the other hand, are 10-3 and lead the AFC West division.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET and the Packers will have their star running back on the field barring a last-second change.
