Bears QB Caleb Williams Issues Clear Warning to Packers
Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears are back in first place when it comes to the NFC North division race and are set to face off against the arch-rival Green Bay Packers on Saturday night.
With a win, the Bears would take a massive step towards securing their first division title since 2018. They would also clinch a spot in the playoffs with a win and a Detroit Lions loss or tie. Chicago has a lot on the line this week.
On the flip side, a loss would bump the Bears out of first place in the division. They would also get swept by the Packers in the two-game season series and would see Green Bay take the head-to-head tiebreaker.

In recent years, Chicago has struggled to beat the Packers. That has started shifting a bit since last season, but the Bears have to make a strong statement this weekend by defeating Green Bay and taking a stranglehold on the division.

Ahead of this week’s game, Williams spoke out with a clear warning to the Packers.
Two weeks ago, he threw an interception in the end zone that ended the game. Green Bay ended up winning by a final score of 28-21. Despite the loss, Chicago played very well in the second half and had multiple opportunities to win the game.
Williams sent a message to the Packers before this weekend’s game and is clearly excited to have a chance at revenge.
“Yeah, I’m excited,” Williams said. “Ended up obviously throwing the pick, as everybody knows, in those last moments, and kind of let that off the hook, throwing such a bad ball to [tight end] Cole [Kmet]. I’m definitely excited. I’m excited for the moment.”
Having a chance at redemption just two weeks after a crucial mistake is a huge opportunity for Williams and the Bears. A chance to take a commanding lead in the division with just two weeks left in the season is an even bigger opportunity.

Throughout the course of his second NFL season, Williams has completed 58 percent of his pass attempts for 3,150 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while also running for 334 yards and three more scores.
It will be interesting to see if Williams can come through with a big performance this weekend. Beating Green Bay after a tough ending in the last matchup would be a huge statement for both Williams and Chicago.
