Two members of the Dallas Cowboys are facing fines from the NFL following plays they made in the team’s disastrous loss to the Minnesota Vikings on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 15.
The league Office of Gameday Accountability fined Cowboys cornerback Reddy Steward a total of $4,667 for unsportsmanlike conduct via a horse-collar tackle he made late in the first quarter.
The NFL also dinged Dallas cornerback Caelen Carson to the tune of $5,686 for unsportsmanlike conduct stemming from a play late in the first half that the league classified under the category of “striking/kicking/tripping/kneeing.”

Reddy has appeared in all 14 games for the beleaguered Cowboys defense in 2025, earning three starts, while Carson has appeared in seven contests and started two of those.
Minnesota and second-year quarterback JJ McCarthy shredded the Dallas defense at AT&T Stadium on Sunday, December 14 to the tune of 34 points. McCarthy completed 15-of-24 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 15 yards and one score.
The Cowboys’ loss left their chances of making the NFL playoffs at less than 1 percent, per NFL.com, effectively rendering 2025 a lost season. Even if Dallas (6-7-1) should defeat the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, the Cowboys’ odds of earning a postseason berth will be just two percent.
Dallas finishes off the year with back-to-back road contests against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, respectively. Both the Commanders and the Giants are already eliminated from playoff contention, while the Philadelphia Eagles will win the NFC East Division for the second year in a row and third time in three seasons.
