Kel’El Ware went for 24 points and 14 rebounds, and Bam Adebayo finished with 16 points and 10 boards as the Heat lost for the sixth time in their last seven games. Norman Powell scored 18 points, and rookie Kasparas Jakucionis went for 17 in his first career start.
The Heat can clinch the season series against New York with a win after taking both games at home, winning 115-107 on Oct. 26 and 115-113 on Nov. 17. The Knicks held serve at home on Nov. 14 with a 140-132 victory. Brunson averages 28.4 points and 6.5 assists for New York, while Towns puts up 22.4 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Powell leads Miami with an average of 24.1 points, Adebayo scores 18.5 points per game, Ware gets 11.9 points and 10.4 boards a night, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. contributes 15.4 points and 4.8 assists per outing.
