The UNLV Rebels (10-3) look for a second straight 11-win season when they take on the Ohio Bobcats (8-4), who fired head coach Brian Smith last week, in the Frisco Bowl at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on Tuesday night.

UNLV, which has already recorded the first back-to-back 10-win seasons in program history, comes off a 38-21 loss at Boise State in the Mountain West Conference championship game on Dec. 5. Anthony Colandrea threw for 3,275 yards and 23 touchdowns with eight interceptions and also ran for 621 yards and nine scores. Jai’Den Thomas leads the ground game with 985 yards and 12 TDs, with Jaden Bradley catching 54 passes for 869 yards and four touchdowns. Troy Omiere and DaeDae Reynolds each nabbed five scoring passes. Tunmise Adeleye leads the defense with six sacks, while Aamaris Bropwn and Laterrance Welch each intercepted four passes.

Defensive coordinator John Hauser will serve as interim coach for the Frisco Bowl, with the Bobcats winning their final two regular-season games before losing a tiebreaker for a spot in the Mid-American Conference title game. Sieh Bangura ran for 1,243 yards and 14 touchdowns, while Parker Navarro put up 2,232 yards and 14 scores with 10 picks through the air to go with 843 yards and eight TDs on the ground. Duncan Brune also scored eight touchdowns, finishing with 561 rushing yards. Chase Hendricks tops the receivers with 67 catches, 950 yards, and seven scores. Defensively, Jay Crable had six sacks.

The teams are meeting for just the second time, with UNLV taking a 26-18 win at home on Sept. 24, 1988, in their only other matchup.
