The 2025 college football season is soon coming to a close, and with that comes the transfer portal.
The transfer portal window is well underway, and the floodgates have been opened. Many have already decided to search far and wide for where they will go next, and that includes Michigan quarterback Davis Warren.
According to college football insider Pete Thamel of ESPN, Warren plans to enter the transfer portal.

Thamel added that Warren has two more years of eligibility left after missing the entire 2025 season with a significant knee injury.
The California native is from the 2020 class and walked on to Michigan after being a no-star recruit. At the time, friends and family of Warren made a call to then head-coach Jim Harbaugh, and he then offered him a chance to play in Ann Arbor despite limited recruitment.
Warren is no stranger to adversity, as he battled through leukemia in high school. The senior quarterback attended Loyola High School in the greater Los Angeles area and has since struggled to find his groove at the next level. Things appeared to be looking upward at the start of the 2024 season when Warren was named the starting quarterback for the Wolverines ahead of Alex Orji, while Jack Tuttle was hurt.

Warren started the first three games for Michigan before then head coach Sherrone Moore inserted Orji in the starting lineup.
In his time under center, Warren tallied 1,199 passing yards while completing 134 passes, a completion percentage of 64.1 percent, along with seven touchdowns but a unimpressive nine interceptions.
Warren is now the second Wolverine quarterback to enter the transfer portal. Sophomore quarterback Jadyn Davis also announced that he would enter the portal, and on top of that, they are also set to lose fellow quarterback Jake Garcia.
Things seem to be bleak for the Wolverines at the quarterback position, but with newly named head coach Kyle Whittingham at the helm, expect Michigan to make a big splash for the 2026 season.
